Jewellery Workshops
Join me, Lisa McKean, for small and friendly silver jewellery workshops in Tankerton, Whitstable, held every Saturday and Sunday, with Thursday and Friday sessions available by arrangement.
Each workshop is relaxed, hands-on, and intentionally small, with a maximum of four participants. You’re very welcome to book a 1–2–1 jewellery-making session if you prefer a personal experience, or come with a friend or a small group. Many people tell me it’s even more fun, and a little cheaper, when they book together.
Every jewellery workshop includes full use of tools, sterling silver materials, and plenty of tea and coffee throughout.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, searching for things to do in Whitstable, or simply keen to try something new, my silver jewellery workshops offer a memorable creative experience by the sea. Silver Ring Workshop

This workshop can be enjoyed on your own, or shared with two or three friends for a relaxed and creative experience by the sea in Whitstable.
You can make either one wide band ring or two stacking rings each, choose between a plain band, or hammered band, ripple, wave or twist to make your set - you choose!

This private jewellery-making session can be booked just for you, or enjoyed with a friend or two.
Together we’ll design and make your own rings – choose between one wide band ring or two stacking rings each. You can select from a variety of finishes, including plain, hammered, ripple, wave, or twist… it’s entirely your choice!
During this hands-on workshop you’ll learn how to bend, hammer, twist, saw, shape, and solder sterling silver to create your bespoke rings. I’ll guide you safely through each stage, and you’ll finish by polishing your rings to a beautiful shine. You’ll leave the Workshop with jewellery you’ll be proud to wear (and truly—no one will believe you made them yourself!).
As this workshop can run over lunchtime, you’re welcome to bring along a light snack. Tea and coffee are provided throughout, so you can enjoy a little refreshment break along the way.

Sterling Silver Earrings Workshop – Make a Beautiful Pair of Earrings
Book a private session just for you, or enjoy it with a friend or two, and create your own stunning pair of sterling silver earrings. You’ll be guided through shaping, texturing and soldering your silver (depending on the style you choose).
You’ll be taught how to use each tool safely, and you’ll finish by polishing your earrings to a beautiful shine before taking them home. They make a gorgeous keepsake - or an extra-special handmade gift.

Book a private session just for you, or come along with a friend or two, and make two beautiful sterling silver bangles each. Choose from a plain, hammered, wavy, or custom-textured finish to design a set that feels uniquely yours.
During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to bend, hammer, twist, saw, shape, and solder sterling silver wire to create your own bespoke bangles. I’ll guide you safely through each stage, and you’ll finish by polishing your bangles to a gorgeous shine. You’ll leave wearing a set you can feel truly proud of.

Choose to create a pendant, bangle, or pair of earrings - it’s entirely up to you.
During this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to safely drill sea glass and use sterling silver wire to create your bespoke piece of jewellery. I’ll guide you through each stage, helping you design and make something truly personal that you can wear with pride.
Please note: due to the fragile nature of sea glass, I cannot guarantee that your own piece will be suitable for drilling or setting, and I cannot be liable for any breakages.

During this hands-on jewellery workshop, you’ll learn how to create a silver band and bezel setting, using traditional silversmithing tools and techniques. I’ll guide you step-by-step to help you craft a bespoke sea glass ring you’ll be proud to wear.
